Rieber & Søn Russia produces and sells nuts and snacks in the Russian market, with Chaka as the dominating brand.

The Russian market was severely affected by the financial crisis, with a dramatic decline in the value of the rouble, stagnation in the market and a lack of capital. This led to weaker sales for our Russian business. However, despite this, Chaka launched six new products based on chocolatecoated nuts and fruits.

Helped by higher prices and cost cutting Rieber & Søn Russia succeeded in maintaining profitability in these difficult times.
